Our Story

RokHause

Rock Richardson has been working as an artist since 2000, building a career defined by craftsmanship, innovation, and a passion for creating pieces that resonate with people around the world. Through his former company, Pewter by Rock, his handcrafted work was represented in more than 200 galleries, reaching collectors as far away as Vietnam, England, St. Thomas, and numerous locations throughout the United States. He was a regular exhibitor at the prestigious Buyers Market of American Craft (BMAC) in Philadelphia, where he connected with galleries and collectors who appreciated his distinctive artistic vision.

After retiring from the pewter industry, Rock discovered a new passion in woodworking. He immersed himself in the process, beginning with small turned bowls, epoxy river tables, and many of the projects that were popular at the time. Yet, drawing upon decades of experience as a professional artist, he soon found himself asking a different question: What hasn't been done? That curiosity pushed him beyond convention and inspired him to think outside the box. Today, through RokHause, Rock creates sculptural furniture that blurs the line between functional design and fine art. Each piece reflects not only extraordinary craftsmanship, but also the evolution of an artist who has spent a lifetime exploring new ways to transform imagination into something tangible, meaningful, and truly one of a kind.

The Studio

One of a Kind,
Every Time

RokHause is a one-of-a-kind artisan woodworking studio specializing in segmented turned bowls and handcrafted furniture pieces that blur the line between functional object and fine art. Each creation is thoughtfully built using a distinctive blend of hardwoods, epoxy, pewter, and copper — materials chosen not just for their beauty, but for the way they tell a story together in every grain, seam, and pour.

At the heart of RokHause is a passion for the unexpected. No two pieces are alike. Swirling epoxy rivers meet the warm tones of exotic hardwoods, while accents of pewter and copper add an industrial elegance that's entirely its own.

"From striking segmented bowls that showcase precision joinery and natural character, to statement tables that anchor a room with presence and personality — every piece is conceived and crafted by hand from start to finish."

The Materials

Chosen for Beauty.
Built to Tell a Story.

Hardwoods

Walnut, maple, cherry, elm, and exotic species — chosen for grain, figure, and character.

Epoxy

Swirling rivers of color that fill voids, bridge seams, and become part of the design.

Pewter

Cast and set by hand — an industrial elegance that grounds each piece in something timeless.

Copper

Warm, oxidizing accents that age beautifully and make every piece unmistakably RokHause.

The Promise

Built to Be Used,
Admired & Passed Down

RokHause is where raw materials become heirlooms. Every grain line, every epoxy pour, every hand-set copper accent is a decision — made with intention, built with care, and finished to last generations.

No two pieces are alike. That's not a limitation — it's the whole point.
